International fashion meets the ancient Neapolitan neighborhood of Santa Lucia.

Always original places for Napoli fashion on the road. After the suggestive and historic votive newspapers and the unique landscapes of Baia in the heart of the Flegrei Fields, Ragazze.it chooses for its tenth stage, an ancient quarter full of history and charm: the Santa Lucia district. The ancient village of Santa Lucia is part of the first outpost of the city of Naples, founded by a group of Rodiani navigators in 800 BC and then extended and inhabited by Greek colonists of Cuma from 680 BC, corresponded to the area between the sland of Megaride (the place where raises Castel dell’Ovo) and the hill of Monte Echia (Pizzofalcone). This first living nucleus was called Parthenope.

Santa Lucia, an ancient fishing village.

Santa Lucia, in a remote area a small fishing village, is a historic district among the oldest in the city of Naples; part of the district of San Ferdinando, has its name for the foundation of the sanctuary of “Santa Lucia a Mare” in the 9th century. Until 1895 the district had direct access to the sea, but with the rehabilitation and the realization of via Partenope, the current Santa Lucia Street was reduced to the internal street, such as the Chiatamone Street, the leisure and bourgeoisie road that up until that time was a panoramic view. Today there are some of the most important parthenese hotels in the area and are still a place of attraction for tourists all over the world.

Naples capital of fashion thanks to Napoli fashion on the road. The project now proposes the style Made in France. The fashionable design of French designer Clementine Sandner’s clothing and accessories, who lives and works in Kyoto, Japan, will also marry the complex of narrow alleys, sloping and steep streets called “Santa Lucia Ballonet”, in a striking contrast to the elegant streets that make up the neighborhood “lounge”.

Redress Design Award 2013.

Clementine Sandner participated in the Redress Design Award 2013 , coming to the final, in Hong Kong. The designer was so fascinated by the culture and traditions of the Sol Levante, who decided to settle down, launching his own eco-friendly eco-fashion brand. In fact, his thought is: “Do not throw away what was once beautiful, let it be born again”; or “Do not throw away what was once good. Let it reborn.”

Constant experimentation.

Clementine Sandner started his artistic career, experimenting with sets and combinations of prints and tonalities, creating unique and functional accessories such as unisex handbags, backpacks and marsupials; products that take Japanese ancient silk kimono pieces, but re-designed in modern style. Clementine always starts from the idea of reusing what can be recycled. “Sustainable fashion for me is obvious, because the future availability of natural resources is increasingly discussed, it is important to think of new ways to produce. Today, I can not imagine being a stylist without thinking about the future of fashion.”

Image of the god Mitra.

It is fascinating to think that the suggestions of the Orient proposed by Clementine Sandner will soon blossom in the beautiful Santa Lucia district of Naples. Area far from those cultures. Suffice to think that the Greek settlers, and later the Romans, practiced the worship of Mitra in the caverns of Mount Echia dominating the area of the Santa Lucia district. Mithra is a deity of Hinduism and Persian religion, arrived in the West thanks to Greek civilizations.

The mix of fashion, religion, culture, art and gastronomy will once again be the winning recipe for the tenth stage of the Naples Fashion Fashion project on the road? We’ll see. And meanwhile … Naples capital of fashion!
